Gingersnaps

Gingersnaps
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. ginger
1/2 t. ground cloves
3/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
1 c. sugar
1. Mix flour, salt, cinnamon, ginger, cloves set aside
2. Mix Sugar, egg and molasses
3. Mix the wet and the dry ingredients together.
4. Roll into 1" balls and roll in additional sugar
5. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes
6. Yields 4 dozen.
